Aroma Magic Turmeric Cleanser Review

Aroma Magic Turmeric Cleanser Review

I love Blossom Kochhar’s Aroma Magic products, especially the essential oils and face washes. They claim to be free from harmful chemicals. And when I came across this cleanser, I was impressed by all the natural oils in their ingredient list.

About Aroma Magic Turmeric Cleanser

I am 100% free of sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, petrochemicals, alcohol, phathalates, artificial fragrance and colour.I am a soap free cleanser that gently sloughs away the day’s dirt, grime and make up. Extracts of turmeric improve the skin’s complexion and imparts radiance, while the extracts of rose deeply moisturise and soothe the skin. The combination of lavender, geranium and ylang ylang essentials oils are effective antimicrobial agents which stimulate and regenerate skin cells.Together with jojoba and grapeseed oil, they regulate, harmonise the oil levels and soften the skin leaving it supple and nourished.

My Experience with Aroma Magic Turmeric Cleanser

It comes in a white tube with a screw on lid. The cleanser is in the form of a very thick, rich cream with a pleasant herbal fragrance. To use it, I dampen face , dot it all over my face take some water and massage it all over. Then I take damp cotton pads or washcloth and wipe it off.

When I first used it, I tried to rinse it off using water. But it doesn’t budge. You have to wipe it off with cotton or wash cloth. I would have honestly preferred it to be like other cleansers like Cetaphil, where you can just rinse it off.

It does remove most of my makeup effectively, but I have to use a separate makeup remover for my eye makeup. It leaves a layer of oil on my skin. Even though they have mentioned that it is for combination skin, if you have combination skin more on the oily side, you will find it really greasy. Even for my dry skin, I found it too greasy to be used in the mornings.

To summarize the pros and cons

Pros

  • Impressive ingredient list – all natural oils
  • Cleanses well – removes most makeup easily
  • Pleasant fragrance
  • Free of sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, petrochemicals, alcohol, phathalates, artificial fragrance and colour

Cons

  • Leaves a oily layer on skin
  • Cannot be rinsed off – has to be wiped off either with cotton or washcloth

Do I recommend it?

Though it is a good cleanser, I personally do not like it because it is a tad too greasy for my liking and also I don’t like the fact that you cannot just rinse it off. If your skin is on the drier side and do not mind the cons that I have mentioned, you can give it a try.
