Maybelline Fit Me Blush Medium Nude 208 Review, Swatches

Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Nude 208 Review, Swatch

I was looking for subtle, everyday use kind of blush. After going through several options I zeroed down on Maybelline Fit Me blush in the shade 208 Medium Nude. For one, this shade seemed perfect for everyday use. Two, it was on sale. I ordered this online. However, I was disappointed when the package arrived in a slightly damaged condition. There were hundreds of scratches all over the lid which made it look like it has been used for months together. However, the blush itself was unaffected so I did not bother complaining or exchanging it. Lets get on with the review.

You can see the tiny scratches on the lid…

About Maybelline Fit Me Blush Medium Nude 208

Oil Free. Doesn’t clog pores. Dermatologist tested. Stay true cheek color that doesn’t fade or change. Silky smooth texture. Blends easily and wears evenly.

My take on Maybelline Fit Me Blush Medium Nude 208

Packaging – Neither very sturdy nor too flimsy. Practical packaging with transparent lid that closes with a click. Comes with a brush which I don’t really use.
Color/Shade – It mauve kind of a shade and contains a lot of shimmer which gives a subtle highlighter like effect when applied.
Texture – Very smooth and finely milled. Not chalky at all. Blends really well.
Pigmentation – I would rate it very very low on pigmentation. The color payoff is very poor. Need to really build it up for it to show up on my NC 41 skin tone.
Staying power – Quite poor. Stays for  3-4 hours after which you need to touch up.

I have applied 3-4 layers of the blush here for it to show up…

As you can see, the packaging is average. The pigmentation and staying power is quite poor. So do I hate it? Not really. This shows up like a natural glow with just a hint of color. On days that I want a no-makeup look (which is most of the times), I quite like how it looks. You know what I mean. I just wish the staying power was better. But at the price at which I got it, I am not complaining.
Summing it up,

What I like about this blush

  • Subtle pigmentation and shimmer that gives a natural looking glow
  • Blends well, not chalky
  • Practical packaging
  • Not pricey

What I do not like about this blush

  • The brush that comes with it is pretty useless
  • Low staying power

Do I recommend Maybelline Fit Me Blush in the shade Medium Nude?

If you have a fair-medium skin tone and looking for a subtle, natural looking blush and don’t mind the low staying power, you can go for it. Or if you’re new to using blushes, this is a good one to start with. There is no fear of going overboard with this one and looking like a clown.

  1. So basically this is an average blush worth a try! Nice review dear.. Can the brush be used for contouring?

    • Yes, definitely worth trying. Thanks dear 🙂 Well, you can use the brush for definition but not good for blending.

  2. I have not tried this blush yet. I like the shade is subtle and pretty. Right now I am trying out the Galifornia blush by Benefit. ?
