Experience using The Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

This shampoo is available in 2 sizes, 250 ml and 400 ml. I purchased the 400 ml since I was looking for long term use. The shampoo comes in a dark brown sturdy bottle with flip top cap. The nozzle is small enough to dispense required quantity. It is a clear (no color) shampoo and has very mild to faint ginger fragrance. True to it’s claim, it does soothe itchy scalp and does clear dandruff. The first time I used it, I skipped the conditioner and found it quite drying for my hair. After that I never skipped conditioner when I use this. I love this shampoo for the effectiveness and how clean and healthy my hair feels. It would have been great if they had ginger conditioner as well to go with this. Yes, they don’t have one.

However, compared with other anti-dandruff shampoos used in the past, this is much milder, effective and more suitable for regular use. I would continue repurchasing this until I find something better.

Pros
– Milder cleansing as compared to most other anti-dandruff shampoos
– Easily available online as well as TBS stores
– Effectively soothes itching due to dandruff
– Cleans hair well – love how my hair feels after shampooing

Cons
– Expensive compared to other regular dandruff shampoos out there, but hey, it’s The Body Shop!
– There’s no conditioner in the anti-dandruff ginger ‘range’. I really wish they did since I love this shampoo so much

Would I recommend?

If you’re looking for a mild and effective dandruff shampoo that you can use on a regular basis, go for it. However, remember to use a conditioner, else it might dry out your hair.
