Vaseline Cocoa Glow Intensive Care Lotion Review

Vaseline Cocoa Glow Intensive Care Lotion Review

Being a beauty blogger, I like to keep trying out new products. So instead of going for tried and tested ones, many a times I go for something that I have never tried. This winter, instead of Venusia Max lotion, I picked up the classic deep restore Vaseline lotion as well as the Cocoa Glow variant. When it comes to body lotions, Vaseline is amongst the trusted, popular and most easily available brand here in India. I picked up the pump versions of both the lotions from a local supermarket. In winters you cannot have too many moisturizers. Lets proceed with the review.

About Vaseline Cocoa Glow Intensive Care Lotion

Cocoa Glow with pure cocoa butter moisturizes to restore dry and dull looking skin, brings out your skin’s natural glow and absorbs fast for a non greasy feel

My Take on Vaseline Cocoa Glow Intensive Care Lotion

Packaging – Comes in a no-fuss pump bottle. There are smaller sizes available too, which come in a bottles with flip-top cap.

Fragrance – The lotion smells like chocolate with a hint of vanilla, a warm fragrance for winters. The fragrance is mild and doesn’t really last long. It vanishes within an hour or so.

Texture, consistency – The lotion is quite thick in texture, not runny at all. It spreads easily and is instantly absorbed.

Its highly moisturizing and does not need constant re-applications. It’s quite rich and heavy, however, it is non greasy too. So for dry skin, this would work really well not only in winters, but also throughout the year, except for a couple of months in summer when the climate is really humid.

If you see the packaging of this one and compare it with the classic deep restore formula (the yellow bottle), they have mentioned that this one is richer/heavier than the classic one. However, on use, I find it to be the other way round. The deep restore formula is heavier and richer than this one.

What I love about  Vaseline Cocoa Glow Intensive Care lotion –

  • Mild chocolate fragrance
  • Inexpensive
  • Easily available
  • Non-greasy formula
  • Highly moisturizing – Doesn’t need constant re-applications
  • Available in several sizes

What I don’t like about  Vaseline Cocoa Glow Intensive Care lotion –

  • Though they’ve mentioned that this is richer than the classic deep restore (yellow bottle) variant, it is the other way round. In reality the cocoa glow variant is slightly lighter than the other one.

Do I recommend Vaseline Cocoa Glow Intensive Care lotion?
