Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-Pout Time Lipstick 07 The Twilight Rose
I got this lipstick in my July Fab Bag. I had the option to choose from various shades, and I chose this one. I find myself picking up a lot of mauve and bright pink shades these days. This shade is quite similar to Breaking Bare which is my current favorite.

My Take on Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-Pout Time Lipstick – 07 The Twilight Rose
Like other lipsticks from this range, this one comes in a classy matte packaging which closes with a click. Which means that there is no chance of it opening accidentally in your handbag.
The shade is a lovely pink which is not too bright. I find it very similar to the Breaking Bare shade. Just that this one is more pink and the other one is a mauve-pink. You can see in the comparison in the swatches below.
Again, this shade also instantly brightens up my face. It is not very intensely pigmented and you might need two-three swipes if you have unevenly pigmented lips. Staying power is about 6 hours without eating, then it leaves a faint hint of color. It stays on slightly longer than Breaking Bare.
Coming to the formula, it settles to a matte finish. With multiple swipes also, it does not look layered upon at all. It does not bleed or feather, but does have a tendency to settle into lines.
Overall, it is a nice lipstick, but I don’t see myself re-purchasing this shade anytime soon since I already have a lot of other lipsticks in a similar shade
- Lovely muted pink shade, that is not too bright
- Matte finish
- Attractive, travel friendly packaging
- Decent staying power
- Even multiple swipes does not make it look layered up
- Does have a tendency to settle into lines
Do I recommend it?
Absolutely! If you’re looking for a muted pink shade that is not too bright, this is a good choice.
