My Take on Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-Pout Time Lipstick – 02 Breaking Bare
This lipstick comes in a classy matte packaging which closes with a click. Which means that there is no chance of it opening accidentally in your handbag. It has a faint vanilla fragrance which is easy to miss – you can smell it in the tube, but barely there when you apply.
Now coming to my favorite parts – the color and formula. The shade is a gorgeous mauve-pink which is amazing because it is neither to bright nor too dull. It instantly brightens up my face. It is not very intensely pigmented and you might need two-three swipes if you have unevenly pigmented lips. Staying power is about 5 hours without eating, then it leaves a faint hint of color.
Coming to the formula, it settles to a matte finish. With multiple swipes also, it does not look layered upon at all. It does not bleed or feather, but does have a tendency to settle into lines.
Overall, it is an amazing lipstick and I see myself repurchasing it over and over again.
- Gorgeous mauve-pink shade
- Matte finish
- Attractive, travel friendly packaging
- Decent staying power
- Even multiple swipes does not make it look layered up
- Does have a tendency to settle into lines
