Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil – Rosehip Fragrance

Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil – Rosehip Fragrance

A couple of months ago, I was at a Mothercare outlet, picking up clothes for my daughter, when the SA there gave me a few sample sachets of Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil. I kept it in my cabinet and had forgotten about it. When my night cream got over, I remembered about this and used it. I loved the fragrance and texture so much that I decided to go for it.

Price Rs 495 for 60 ml (I got it for a discounted price of around Rs 370 from Firstcry)

My take on Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil – Rosehip Fragrance

Packaging – Comes in a transparent plastic pump bottle. The cap stays on tight, so I haven’t faced any problem during traveling

Fragrance – Mild, pleasant floral (roses)

Texture – Lightweight, non-greasy. In fact, much lighter than Bio Oil

Effectiveness – When I had purchased this, I was looking for the variant meant specifically for using on the face. However, that was not easily available here in India (it is now) So when I read that this can be used for the face as well, I went ahead with it.

I mainly use this as a part of my night time skin routine in place of a night cream. Just a few drops is sufficient for face and neck. It takes a few minutes to get absorbed into the skin. I love that it is not heavy or greasy. I could definitely see that my skin was looking healthy and radiant. It did not break me out either. I had been using Olay Total Effects night cream prior to this and I am not missing it! Also, since I am using it only for my face, I need only a few drops at a time. So one bottle is going to last me at least two months. I have been using it for about a month now, and I’ve not even used up half of the bottle yet.

My mum who has normal skin (not dry like mine) has also been using it for almost a month now as a part of her night time skin routine. Shes loving it too, since it is proving to be really effective especially for tackling uneven skin tone.

Does it live up to it’s claims?

  • Scars – Not tried
  • Stretch Marks – Not tried
  • Dry, Damaged Skin – Effective
  • Uneven Skin Tone – Effective
  • Aging Skin – Effective

I also use a drop or two of this under my foundation, whenever I want a dewy look.

Summing up,

Pros

  • Cocoa butter formula with vitamin E
  • Preservative-free, phthalate free
  • Non greasy and lightweight
  • Can be used for body as well as face
  • Gives a healthy and radiant glow to the skin

Cons

  • On the expensive side if you want to use it for your body
  • May not be moisturizing enough for dry skin during winters

Do I recommend it?

Yes! If you have normal or dry skin, and don’t mind the cons, you will like this one. Oily to combination skin can stay away from it.
