Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask Review

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask Review

I received a one-time use free sample sachet of Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask during a recent haul. Since I have dry skin, I generally refrain from buying clay based masks. However, I had heard a lot of good reviews and decided to give it a try.

Price Rs 1100 for a 100 ml jar ( I got a sample sachet)

My Take on Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

Fragrance – Faint to almost none – no noticeable fragrance

Color Light grey

Texture – Dry, thick, clay. It is not at all runny or creamy. When I first felt the texture, I was apprehensive of using it. I thought its so dry, it might drag on or tug on my skin. I also wondered if I should use some rose water or something to make it a little easily spreadable. Finally, I decided to use as it is to find out. To my surprise, it did spread easily in spite of appearing so dry.

As soon as I applied it, there was a mild, cooling sensation, the kind you get from menthol. The mask started to dry in less than 5 minutes. After keeping for around 10 minutes, I decided to wash it off with warm water as instructed.  On drying, it does not cause much tightness, nor does it appear cracked like most clay masks do.

Post-washing, it did not dry out my skin like I expected it to. It did not hydrate it either, so I nevertheless followed up with a moisturizer.

Coming to the results, I could definitely see reduction in pore size especially on and around my nose where it was most noticeable. My skin appeared cleaner, brighter and smoother. It was almost like I got a cleanup done.

Summing up,

Pros

  • Definitely lives up to it’s claims
  • Effective – cleanses pores and reduces pore size
  • Skin is visibly brighter and smoother
  • Did not dry out my skin
  • Did not irritate my sensitive skin

Cons

  • Quite expensive

Would I recommend it?

I think its a really good product. If you don’t mind the price and especially if your skin is on the oilier side, you’re gonna love it.
