The Face Shop Lotus Mask Review

The Face Shop Lotus Mask Review

I was rummaging through my cabinet for a face mask to use, and I found this. I had purchased four variants of The Face Shop sheet masks a few months ago and out of the four, only this one was remaining. The Shea Butter mask worked amazingly well for my skin, while the one with Calendula was a disappointment.  The Aloe Vera one (not reviewed) was average and did nothing significant.

Before proceeding with the review, let me tell you why I love sheet masks. The first reason is they are non messy as compared to face packs. Secondly, these sheet masks are drenched in serum, which means the concentrated goodness is directly delivered to the skin.

Price Rs 100 INR per pack of 1 sheet

About The Face Shop Lotus Mask
The mask sheet drenched in serum with the pure energy of Lotus Flower moisturizes and gives tired, rough skin a boost of radiance. Drenched in a smooth serum with oil/Formula without Parabens)

Directions  1. Wash face and apply toner 2. Pull out mask and carefully place on face 3. Remove after 10-15 minutes and pat face lightly to absorb remaining serum into skin.

My Experience using The Face Shop Lotus Mask

As directed I washed my face and used a toner. The Face Mask comes in a sachet containing single sheet. It was dripping so much with the serum that there was quite a lot of serum left behind in the sachet. I poured in in my palm and applied on my neck too. It has a mild floral fragrance which I loved. I kept on the mask for 20 minutes, as instructed and yet the sheet had not dried out. So I kept it on for an additional 5 minutes.

This particular mask is extremely hydrating which my dry skin loved. However, those with oily skin may find it too greasy.   After removing, my skin felt plump and glowing. The result remained for the next couple of days. All in all I loved this one.

To sum it up,

Pros

  • Not expensive
  • Being a sheet mask, it’s non messy and super easy to use.
  • Lovely fragrance
  • Convenient packaging
  • Suitable for dry skin
  • This lotus variant is extremely hydrating and imparts a glow to the skin

Cons

  • Not a con but not suitable for oily skin

Would I recommend it?

I would recommend this Lotus variant for those with dry/normal skin. Those with oily skin can give this a pass.

As of now, I have tried four sheet masks from The Face Shop – Shea Butter, Calendula, Aloe and Lotus. Out of these, I loved Shea Butter and Lotus. This brand has a lot of sheet masks to choose from. Do explore their range and give it a try!
