Colorbar Precision Waterproof Eyeliner

Colorbar Precision Waterproof Eyeliner

I am not too much into liquid eyeliners. I generally use a gel liner over my eyelids and a kajal over waterline. But during a recent Nykaa haul when there was a sale going on, I decided to try this Colorbar liquid eyeliner in black

Price Rs 350 for 2.5 ml (I got it for Rs 280 from Nykaa)

About Colorbar Precision Waterproof Eyeliner

The Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is long-lasting and does not smudge, crack, flake or peel. With its high definition flexible felt tip applicator, one stroke is enough to define a fine or thick line. Fast drying, Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is suitable for sensitive eyes and those who wear contact lenses too!

My Take on Colorbar Precision Waterproof Eyeliner

The liner comes in a tiny black bottle with a shiny silver cap. The inside of the cap has a felt tip brush, which makes application really easy, especially for beginners. I find it really difficult to apply with the other thinner kind of brushes.  Also, the long narrow handle of the brush (the bottle cap) gives an easy grip which makes application even easier. When you’re applying it, you will first notice how stark black it is. Within a seconds it dries up to a matte finish. I have deliberately drawn a thick line in the swatch below. You can as well use it for fine lining with this.

Staying power is for about 4-5 hours on my lids. After that it starts to fade away. If you accidentally rub your eyes, it does not smudge or give you raccoon eyes. Rather, it just fades eventually. Also, if you accidentally get it into your eyes, it does sting. So not suitable for waterline.

As for removal, I could easily remove with any good makeup remover. You don’t need a heavy duty makeup remover for this.

To sum up,

Pros

  • Darkest black shade
  • Matte finish
  • Smudge proof, water proof
  • Felt tip and long handle make application easy even for beginners
  • Easily removable with a good makeup remover

Cons

  • Stings if it accidentally gets into your eyes
  • Average staying power

Do I recommend it?
Its the darkest black eyeliner I have used in this price range and I love it. If you don’t mind the average staying power and not looking for using it on your waterline, you can definitely go for it.
