Colorbar Fabulips Lip Brush Review

Colorbar Brushes – Fabulips Lip Brush Review

I have three brushes from Colorbar – Fabulips Lip Brush, Smokin Eyes Smudger Brush and Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush. I will be the three brushes in a two part series so that I can cover all aspects of the brush. In this post, I am reviewing the lip brush.

Like most of you out there, I had never used a lip brush for applying lipstick. I used to apply directly from the tube. Once I saw a video on how using a good lip brush can give drastically different result as against applying lipstick directly from the tube. I started hunting for lip brushes and picked up this one.

About Colorbar Fabulips Lip Brush

Your favorite lip color meets its match in this sleek lip brush that’s just flat out fantastic! The unique square edge applies even the creamiest color without straying and the brush thickness makes it quick and easy.

How to use

Use the flat side of the brush to apply product with short strokes and blend evenly across your lips. Gently clean the brush by washing with mild shampoo and cold water, rinse and leave to air-dry.

My Take on Colorbar Fabulips Lip Brush

The appearance of the brushes in this range is quite attractive with white and black handle and brightly colored bristles. This brush is sturdy too. It is a flat brush and the bristles are very densely and tightly packed which makes it very stiff. This makes it apt for lining with the tip of the brush. Then the square, flat part can be easily used for filling in color.

The thin straight tip is good for lining

The flat square part is good for filling

Also, the quality of the brush is really good. I have been using it for more than a year, and it has withstood use and washing. There has been absolutely no shedding of the brush hair nor has it lost it’s shape. Just the color has changed from bright fuchsia to a little duller shade.

Tip: Use this brush for applying creamy lipsticks. When applied directly from the tube, creamy lipsticks have a tendency to look thick, uneven and layered on. With the brush, you will get a well defined and even application.

Summing up,

Pros

  • Works great for both lining and filling
  • Durable and sturdy – have been using mine since more than a year without any damage to it
  • Reasonably priced

Cons

None that I can think of

Do I recommend it?

Yes! I think it’s a great lip brush in this price range.
