Colorbar Brushes – Smokin Eyes Smudger Brush & Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush – Mini Reviews

Like I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I have three brushes from Colorbar. Sometime back I had done a post on Colobar Fabulips Brush and in this post I will be doing mini reviews of  Smokin Eyes Smudger Brush & Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush.

Smokin Eyes Smudger Brush

What is it used for? It’s for smudging eyeshadow/liner/kohl/kajal.

Price  Rs 250 (But almost always available on a discount on Amazon )

How to use Smudge shadow/liner by using small, controlled strokes while pressing the tip against the lash line. Gently clean the brush by washing with mild shampoo and cold water, rinse and leave to air-dry.

My take on this Colorbar brush  The bristles are densely and tightly packed making the tip of the brush really firm. This makes it perfect for precision smudging without spreading the color all over. I love using it for smudging kohl on my lower lash line to give a soft smoky look. Again this one I have been using for more than a year and continuous use and wash haven’t affected the shape of the brush in any way. It is as good as the day I purchased it.

Do I recommend it? A definite yes!

Emphaseyes Eye Blending Brush

What is it – It is for blending the eyeshadow

How to use Sweep over eye-color sideways with gentle but firm strokes and blend well for an airbrushed effect. Gently clean the brush by washing with mild shampoo and cold water, rinse and leave to air-dry.

Price Rs 250 (But almost always available on a discount on Amazon )

My take on this Colorbar brush The brush is soft and fluffy with loosely packed bristles. I use this mainly when I am using a single eye shadow all over the lids. I find it a bit to large to use for blending when using multiple eye shadows. Like other brushes from this brand, this too has withstood over a year of usage and washing. Overall a nice brush, but good for only for all-over eye colors.

Do I recommend it? It is a good brush but definitely not a must-have.

For all the three brushes from Colorbar, I must say that for the price, they are really good quality.
