Aroma Magic Mineral Glow Scrub Review

Aroma Magic Mineral Glow Scrub Review

For those who aren’t very familiar with this brand, Aroma Magic products are known to be free from parabens, alcohol, mineral oils, harsh chemicals, synthetic colours, artificial fragrances, petrochemicals, phthalates, etc and they do not do animal testing. They have a good range of personal care products as well as aromatherapy essential and carrier oils.

With me, Aroma Magic products have been a mix of hits and misses. While some products work really well, some are complete duds. However, that does not stop me from exploring more from this brand. Let’s move on to the review of the Mineral Glow Scrub by Aroma Magic.

About Aroma Magic Mineral Glow Scrub

Reduces fine lines, remineralizes and brightens.

I am 100% free of harsh chemicals, alcohol, parabens, phthalates, sulphates, artificial coloring & fragrance. My triple action scrub formula made of natural exfoliators of cornflower and grain almond meal gently buffs away dry skin and dead cells resulting in fresh, young, energized and healthy skin.  Rice bran oil and aqua minerals re-mineralise and enrich your skin reducing fine lines effectively. My aromatherapy blend of tea tree, rose and lavender essential oils helps to balance the level of oil in your skin and protects it from daily pollution and dirt. The goodness of moisturizing agents like beeswax and glycerin keeps your skin smooth, radiant and nourished.

My Take on Aroma Magic Mineral Glow Scrub

Packaging – The scrub comes in an attractive white tube with a screw on lid. It is actually travel friendly.

Fragrance – Some sort of medicinal fragrance which I am not a fan of

Color – Mint green

Texture – The texture of this scrub is different from most scrubs available in the market. When you mix salt in some sort of a gel base till the point of saturation and then at some point the salt doesn’t get dissolved anymore. Well, that’s what the scrub feels like.

How to use – After massaging on your face, neck and body, leave it on for about 10 minutes and rinse. This is to be used only once in a week.

Well, I had read great reviews about this one that it has fine particles, this is a mild scrub, etc. My opinion – the scrub particles are really minute – agreed. But they are definitely not gentle enough for my sensitive skin. They are quite abrasive. I must have used it only once on my face. After that I have always used it as a body scrub.

How it performs as a body scrub – It does make my skin smoother and leaves behind a thin film of oil. I don’t mind this since I have dry skin. However, those with skin on the oily side wouldn’t like this.

Would I be buying this again as a body scrub? No, I am using it now only to finish it off. I personally do not like the texture. I prefer creamy scrubs with gentler particles.

Summing up,

I rarely do this, but have to list the cons first

Cons

  • The scrub particles are tiny, but quite harsh and abrasive for sensitive skin
  • Not suitable for those with sensitive skin or oily skin/combination skin
  • Can be used as body scrub, but will leave your skin a bit oily

Pros

  • Free from harsh chemicals, alcohol, parabens, phthalates, sulphates, artificial coloring & fragrance
  • Attractive packaging

Would I recommend this?

Sensitive skin and oily/combination skinned people – stay miles away from this. Those with normal skin- can give it a try. It does work well as a body scrub, but it will leave your skin a bit oily.

  1. Thanks for your honest review. I may not like the oily film like feel after bath. Sometimes the all natural products do not work. ?

    • Glad you liked the review. Yeah, I was tempted by the all-natural tag when I bought it. A lot of people actually love this scrub. But didn’t work for me!
